About Verdishia

About

What Verdishia is for

Verdishia exists for one situation: it is a weekday evening, you want something that actually tastes like comfort food, and you would also like the meal to do a bit more for you than the version you grew up with.

How the recipes are developed

Recipes are built around familiar ingredients and standard home equipment. Each one starts from a dish people already like, then the balance is adjusted, usually more protein, often more vegetables, while keeping the texture and flavour that made the dish worth cooking.

Recipes are cooked and adjusted before publication. They are not tested in a commercial test kitchen, and we do not claim otherwise.

How nutrition information is estimated

Where nutrition figures appear, they are estimates calculated from standard ingredient databases. They will vary with brands, exact quantities and substitutions. They are not a professional laboratory analysis and should not be used for medical or clinical purposes.

Editorial standards

We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, awards or credentials. We do not make medical claims, and nothing here is nutritional or medical advice. If a recipe is sponsored or contains an affiliate link, that will be disclosed on the recipe itself.

Corrections

If something in a recipe is wrong, a quantity, a temperature, a timing, or a nutrition estimate, please tell us and it will be corrected. Meaningful corrections are noted with an updated date on the recipe.

Who writes Verdishia

Chef Liam Carter is Verdishia’s brand chef persona and culinary guide. He is the voice the recipes are written in, not a credentialed professional, and we do not present him as one.
