Nutrition Disclaimer

In short

Any nutrition figures shown on Verdishia are estimates. They are there to give a general sense of a dish, not to be counted on for medical, clinical or dietary decisions.

Nutrition values are estimates

Where a recipe shows nutrition information, it is calculated from standard ingredient data, not from laboratory analysis of the finished dish. Two cooks following the same recipe can produce meaningfully different results.

What changes the numbers

  • Brands. Two products with the same name can differ in fat, sugar and sodium.
  • Quantities. A generous pour of oil or a heaped spoon changes the total.
  • Substitutions. Swapping an ingredient changes the estimate, sometimes a lot.
  • Optional ingredients. Where a recipe marks an ingredient optional, it is normally excluded from the estimate. The recipe will say so.
  • Serving size. Figures are per serving as written. Dividing the dish differently changes everything.
  • Cooking. Fat absorbed or drained during cooking is not measured.

This is not medical or dietary advice

Verdishia publishes recipes, not health guidance. Nothing here treats, prevents or cures anything, and no claim is made about weight, immunity, hormones, detoxification or energy levels.

If you are managing a health condition, are pregnant, take medication that interacts with food, or follow a prescribed diet, rely on a qualified professional who knows your situation rather than on an estimate published on a website.

Allergies and intolerances

Ingredient lists are written as accurately as possible, but they cannot account for cross-contamination, manufacturing changes or how a product is made in your country. If you cook for someone with an allergy, check the packaging of every product you use.

Corrections

If a quantity, timing, temperature or nutrition estimate looks wrong, please say so through the contact page and include the recipe name. Corrections are welcome and meaningful ones are noted with an updated date on the recipe.
