Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 2 medium ripe avocados, mashed
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Tip: Lightly grease the parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together mashed avocados, maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Tip: Use a fork to mash the avocados first for easier mixing.
  3. Add cocoa powder, almond flour, salt, and baking soda to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined. Tip: Don’t overmix to keep the brownies tender.
  4. Fold in dark chocolate chips if using, then pour the batter into the prepared pan. Tip: Reserve a few chocolate chips to sprinkle on top for extra richness.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs. Tip: The brownies will firm up as they cool.
  6. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing. Tip: For cleaner slices, chill the brownies for 30 minutes first.
