- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Tip: Lightly grease the parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, whisk together mashed avocados, maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Tip: Use a fork to mash the avocados first for easier mixing.
- Add cocoa powder, almond flour, salt, and baking soda to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined. Tip: Don’t overmix to keep the brownies tender.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips if using, then pour the batter into the prepared pan. Tip: Reserve a few chocolate chips to sprinkle on top for extra richness.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs. Tip: The brownies will firm up as they cool.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing. Tip: For cleaner slices, chill the brownies for 30 minutes first.
