Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs (gluten-free if needed)
  • 2 tbsp green onions, sliced

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Tip: Parchment prevents sticking without extra oil.
  2. In a bowl, combine turkey, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix gently with hands until just combined. Tip: Overmixing makes meatballs tough.
  3. Roll into 1.5-inch balls (about 20 total) and place on baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes until internal temp reaches 165°F. Tip: Use a cookie scoop for even sizes.
  4. Meanwhile, whisk sesame oil, honey, and rice vinegar in a small saucepan over low heat until warm. Tip: Don’t boil—just heat to blend flavors.
  5. Toss baked meatballs in the glaze, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately. Tip: Double the glaze for extra saucy meatballs!
